California Coastal Protection Network
Protecting California’s Magnificent Coast for Every Generation
The California Coastal Protection Network (CCPN) is a unique strategic advocacy organization dedicated to protecting California’s greatest natural asset: our magnificent 1,100-mile coastline.
CCPN plays a critical leadership role in protecting our coast. We engage with statewide coastal, ocean, social justice, environmental justice, tribal, and civil rights advocates on emerging coastal priorities and issues to uphold and advance the core tenets of the California Coastal Act. These core tenets include public access to our beaches for all, protection of environmentally sensitive habitat areas, retention of affordable housing and lower cost accommodations as well as addressing emerging challenges including climate change, sea level rise, and new industrial development.
